Thank whatever divine intervention that led me to walk down Bank St after midnight and find my way into this joint.
The vibe is lively, with friends and locals hanging and inhaling a feast at this late hour. Brightly lit with colorful pictures of the food by the counter (which seriously don't do the actual food justice), I had maybe the best Yemeni food in my life.
The food is SO good. The lamb is fall of the bone tender. The portions are also huge-- you'd think they accidentally thought you were ordering catering. Heck, even the house salad hit the spot. Do yourself and your friends a favor and make a night out here. -

It really doesn't get any better than this. This is hands-down my favorite restaurant in all of Baltimore City. I've been coming here for a year now, and the staff never fails to impress. The food comes out hot, fresh, and fast every time.
Everything on the menu is amazing. I've tried the lamb shawarma with hummus, the shawarma wraps, chicken kabsa, haneeth, and foul. All entrées were savory and truly authentic Yemeni cuisine.
My favorite thing about this place is the convenience. It's open until midnight. They have free tea for all patrons and hot marag soup for $2, which comes included with entrées and really hits the spot on a cold winters' day. -

This place earned all its five star reviews. The food is simply wonderful. I've had the lamb haneeth and the chicken agda. Both are subtle yet spicy, the flavors blend together beautifully. Each forkful tastes better than the one before. My wife and I also had the meat samosas, which I don't think are on the menu, they're listed on the window outside. Also delicious. The small soup and salad that come with the meals are a nice touch, especially the soup which is rich and flavorful.
I plan to continue working my way down the menu. -

I have come here three times so far and every single time, I have ordered a different lamb dish, and every time I love it more and more. Yemen and Gulf will always hold a place in my heart. This time, I had the lamb fahsa and wow! You gotta get it. It comes out bubbling in a hot clay bowl and it is so delicious. It is flavorful and savory like the lamb agda (what I got and loved before), but the lamb is shredded, and the hot bowl really elevates the whole meal. When you're done, you can scrape the remaining sauce off the side of the hot bowl with your naan, and it's like extra-concentrated yumminess. I saw other customers leave with fahsa left behind in their bowls and I wanted to make a citizen's arrest. They left god's food behind.

Great food and decent staff. They have a lot of wonderful chicken and meat opt. I recommend the liver side and the bulky dessert "ma'soub". The green salad and soup are simple and tasty. Don't forget to drink their free herbal black tee, it very delicious!
